Título : Absolute Stability of Nonlinear Control Systems Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Xiaoxin Liao ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Pei Yu Editorial: Dordrecht : Springer Netherlands Fecha de publicación: 2008 Colección: Mathematical Modelling: Theory and Applications, ISSN 1386-2960 num. 25 Número de páginas: XII, 384 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-1-4020-8482-9 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Mathematics Differential equations Applied mathematics Engineering System theory Vibration Dynamical systems Dynamics Ordinary Equations Systems Theory, Control Vibration, Systems, Applications of Clasificación: 51 Matemáticas Resumen: Following the recent developments in the field of absolute stability, Professor Xiaoxin Liao, in conjunction with Professor Pei Yu, has created a second edition of his seminal work on the subject. Liao begins with an introduction to the Lurie problem and the Lurie control system, before moving on to the simple algebraic sufficient conditions for the absolute stability of autonomous and non-autonomous ODE systems, as well as several special classes of Lurie-type systems. The focus of the book then shifts toward the new results and research that have appeared in the decade since the first edition was published. This includes nonlinear control systems with multiple controls, interval control systems, time-delay and neutral Lurie control systems, systems described by functional differential equations, the absolute stability for neural networks, as well as applications to chaos control and chaos synchronization. This book is aimed at undergraduates and lecturers in the areas of applied mathematics, nonlinear control systems and chaos control and synchronisation, but may also be useful as a reference work for researchers and engineers. The book is self-contained, though a basic knowledge of calculus, linear system and matrix theory, and ordinary differential equations is required to gain a complete understanding of the workings and methodologies discussed within Nota de contenido: Principal Theorems on Global Stability -- Sufficient Conditions of Absolute Stability: Classical Methods -- Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Absolute Stability -- Special Lurie-Type Control Systems -- Nonautonomous Systems -- Systems with Multiple Nonlinear Feedback Controls -- Robust Absolute Stability of Interval Control Systems -- Discrete Control Systems -- Time-Delayed and Neutral Lurie Control Systems -- Control Systems Described by Functional Differential Equations -- Absolute Stability of Hopfield Neural Network -- Application to Chaos Control and Chaos Synchronization En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-1-4020-8482-9 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34293 Absolute Stability of Nonlinear Control Systems [documento electrónico] / Xiaoxin Liao ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Pei Yu . - Dordrecht : Springer Netherlands, 2008 . - XII, 384 p : online resource. - (Mathematical Modelling: Theory and Applications, ISSN 1386-2960; 25) .

Título : Advanced Lukasiewicz calculus and MV-algebras Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Daniele Mundici ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Dordrecht : Springer Netherlands Fecha de publicación: 2011 Colección: Trends in Logic num. 35 Número de páginas: XVIII, 258 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-94-007-0840-2 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Mathematics Mathematical logic Logic and Foundations Clasificación: 51 Matemáticas Resumen: In recent years, the discovery of the relationships between formulas in Lukasiewicz logic and rational polyhedra, Chang MV-algebras and lattice-ordered abelian roups, MV-algebraic states and coherent de Finetti’s assessments of continuous events, has changed the study and practice of many-valued logic. This book is intended as an up-to-date monograph on in?nite-valued Lukasiewicz logic and MV-algebras. Each chapter features a combination of classical and re?cent results, well beyond the traditional domain of algebraic logic: among others, a comprehensive account is given of many e?ective procedures that have been re?cently developed for the algebraic and geometric objects represented by formulas in Lukasiewicz logic. The book embodies the viewpoint that modern Lukasiewicz logic and MV-algebras provide a benchmark for the study of several deep mathematical prob?lems, such as Rényi conditionals of continuously valued events, the many-valued generalization of Carathéodory algebraic probability theory, morphisms and invari?ant measures of rational polyhedra, bases and Schauder bases as jointly re?nable partitions of unity, and ?rst-order logic with [0,1]-valued identity on Hilbert space. Complete versions are given of a compact body of recent results and techniques, proving virtually everything that is used throughout, so that the book can be used both for individual study and as a source of reference for the more advanced reader Nota de contenido: Preface -- Chapter 1. Prologue: de Finetti coherence criterion and Lukasiewicz logic -- Chapter 2. Rational polyhedra, Interpolation, Amalgamation -- Chapter 3. The Galois connection (Mod, Th) in L8 21 -- Chapter 4. The spectral and the maximal spectral space -- Chapter 5. De Concini-Procesi theorem and Schauder bases -- Chapter 6. Bases and ?nitely presented MV-algebras -- Chapter 7. The free product of MV-algebras -- The construction of free products -- Chapter 8. Direct limits, con?uence and multisets -- Chapter 9. Tensors -- Chapter 10. States and the Kroupa-Panti Theorem -- Chapter 11. The MV-algebraic Loomis-Sikorski theorem.- Chapter 12. The MV-algebraic Stone-von Neumann theorem -- Chapter 13. Recurrence, probability, measure -- Chapter 14. Measuring polyhedra and averaging truth-values -- Chapter 15. A Rényi conditional in Lukasiewicz logic -- Chapter 16. The Lebesgue state and the completion of FREEn -- Chapter 17. Finitely generated projective MV-algebras -- Chapter 18. E?ective procedures for L8 and MV-algebras -- Chapter 19. The ambition is to indicate new directions as well as to present the classical part of multivariate statistical analysis in this framework. The book has been written for graduate students and statis- cians who are not afraid of matrix formalism. The goal is to provide them with a powerful toolkit for their research and to give necessary background and deeper knowledge for further studies in di?erent areas of multivariate statistics. It can also be useful for researchers in applied mathematics and for people working on data analysis and data mining who can ?nd useful methods and ideas for solving their problems. Ithasbeendesignedasatextbookforatwosemestergraduatecourseonmultiva- ate statistics. Such a course has been held at the Swedish Agricultural University in 2001/02. On the other hand, it can be used as material for series of shorter courses. In fact, Chapters 1 and 2 have been used for a graduate course ”Matrices in Statistics” at University of Tartu for the last few years, and Chapters 2 and 3 formed the material for the graduate course ”Multivariate Asymptotic Statistics” in spring 2002. An advanced course ”Multivariate Linear Models” may be based on Chapter 4. A lot of literature is available on multivariate statistical analysis written for di?- ent purposes and for people with di?erent interests, background and knowledge Nota de contenido: Basic Matrix Theory and Linear Algebra -- Multivariate Distributions -- Distribution Expansions -- Multivariate Linear Models En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/1-4020-3419-9 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35213 Advanced Multivariate Statistics with Matrices [documento electrónico] / Tõnu Kollo ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Rosen, Dietrich von ; Michiel Hazewinkel . - Dordrecht : Springer Netherlands, 2005 . - XVI, 490 p : online resource. - (Mathematics and Its Applications; 579) .

Detailed attention is given to special classes of algebras and rings including Frobenius, quasi-Frobenius, right serial rings and tiled orders using the technique of quivers. The most important recent developments in the theory of these rings are examined. The Cartan Determinant Conjecture and some properties of global dimensions of different classes of rings are also given. The last chapters of this volume provide the theory of semiprime Noetherian semiperfect and semidistributive rings. Of course, this book is mainly aimed at researchers in the theory of rings and algebras but graduate and postgraduate students, especially those using algebraic techniques, should also find this book of interest Nota de contenido: Groups and group representations -- Quivers and their representations -- Representations of posets and of finite dimensional algebras -- Frobenius algebras and quasi-Frobenius rings -- Right serial rings -- Tiled orders over discrete valuation rings -- Gorenstein matrices En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-1-4020-5141-8 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34573 Algebras, Rings and Modules [documento electrónico] / SpringerLink (Online service) ; Michiel Hazewinkel ; Nadiya Gubareni ; Kirichenko, V.
