Organización de empresas Resumen: This textbook guides the reader towards various aspects of growth and international trade in a Diamond-type overlapping generations framework. Using the same model type throughout the book, timely topics such as growth with bubbles, debt reduction in rich countries and policies to mitigate climate change are explored . The first part starts from the “old” growth theory and bridges to the “new” growth theory (including R&D and human capital approaches). The second part presents an intertemporal equilibrium theory of inter and intra-sectoral trade and concludes by analyzing the debt mechanics inducing the huge imbalances among eurozone countries. The book is primarily addressed to graduate students wishing to proceed to the analytically more demanding journal literature Nota de contenido: Preface -- 1 Growth and International Trade: Introduction and Stylized Facts -- Part I: Growth -- 2 Modeling the Growth of the World Economy: The Basic Overlapping Generations Model -- 3 Steady State, Factor Income, and Technological Progress -- 4 Economic Growth and Public Debt in the World Economy -- 5 "New" Growth Theory and Knowledge Externalities in Capital Accumulation -- 6 Endogenous Technological Progress and Infinite Economic Growth -- 7 Human Capital, Religion, and Economic Growth -- 8 Economic Growth With Bubbles -- Part II: International Trade -- 9 International Parity Conditions in a Two-Country OLG Model Under Free Trade -- 10 Factor Proportion, Inter-Sectoral Trade, and Product Life Cycle -- 11 Product Differentiation, Decreasing Costs, and Intra-Sectoral Trade -- 12 Globalization, Capital Accumulation, and Terms of Trade -- 13 Innovation, Growth, and Trade in a Two-Country OLG Model -- 14 Real Exchange Rage and Public Debt in a Two-Advanced-Country OLG Model -- 15 Public Debt Reduction in Advanced Countries and Its Impacts on Emerging Countries -- 16 External Balance, Dynamic Efficiency, and Welfare Effects of National Climate Policies -- 17 Nationally and Internationally Optimal Climate Policies -- 18 Modeling the Debt Mechanics of the Euro Zone -- Index En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-33669-0 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=36552 Growth and International Trade : An Introduction to the Overlapping Generations Approach [documento electrónico] / Karl Farmer ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Schelnast, Matthias . - Berlin, Heidelberg : Springer Berlin Heidelberg : Imprint: Springer, 2013 . - XV, 443 p. 90 illus : online resource. - (Springer Texts in Business and Economics, ISSN 2192-4333) .

Título : Economic Growth and Development : A Dynamic Dual Economy Approach Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Sibabrata Das ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Alex Mourmouras ; Peter C. Rangazas Editorial: Cham : Springer International Publishing Fecha de publicación: 2015 Otro editor: Imprint: Springer Colección: Springer Texts in Business and Economics, ISSN 2192-4333 Número de páginas: X, 272 p. 16 illus., 8 illus. in color Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-319-14265-4 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Macroeconomics Development economics Economic growth Economics Growth Macroeconomics/Monetary Economics//Financial Clasificación: 658 Empresas. Organización de empresas Resumen: Growth theory provides a rich and versatile analytical framework through which fundamental questions about economic development can be examined. This book is an introduction to the newer features of growth theory that are particularly useful in examining the issues of economic development. Structural transformation, in which developing countries transition from traditional production in largely rural areas to modern production in largely urban areas, is an important causal force in creating early economic growth, and as such, is made central in this approach. Towards this end, the authors augment the Solow model to include endogenous theories of saving, fertility, human capital, institutional arrangements, and policy formation, creating a single two-sector model of structural transformation. Based on applied research and practical experiences in macroeconomic development, the model in this book presents a more rigorous, quantifiable, and explicitly dynamic dual economy approach to development. Common microeconomic foundations and notation are used throughout, with each chapter building on the previous material in a continuous flow. With its single model and focus on data and policy analysis, this text is intended for beginning graduate students and policy makers interested in economic development Nota de contenido: Overview -- Part I. Introduction to Economic Growth -- Neoclassical Growth Theory -- Extensions to Neoclassical Growth Theory -- Two Sector -- Growth Models -- Part II. Dual Economies -- Wage and Fertility Gaps in Dual Economies -- Physical Capital in Dual Economies -- A Complete Dual -- Economy -- Urbanization -- Conclusion En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-14265-4 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35567 Economic Growth and Development : A Dynamic Dual Economy Approach [documento electrónico] / Sibabrata Das ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Alex Mourmouras ; Peter C. China's GDP growth in 2014 continues to slow down, and is expected to be 7.6%, with the CPI stable at a level of 2.5%. With the pressures of structural slowdown, 2014 will be a year of adjustment, and there will be a slowdown in new initiatives to minimize risk. Against a background of policies to stabilize growth, change structures and promote reforms, and in order to assess the sustainability of development and transformation and upgrade of China's provincial regions, this book proposes a system for evaluating the country's development prospects and expounds economic growth at the provincial level Nota de contenido: General Report -- Studies on Macro Economy -- Report of Regional Economic Development Prospects En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-662-49050-1 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=41789 Annual Report on China's Economic Growth : Macroeconomic Trends and Outlook [documento electrónico] / Ping Zhang ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Xiahui Liu ; Fuhua Yuan ; Ziran Zhang . - Berlin, Heidelberg : Springer Berlin Heidelberg : Imprint: Springer, 2016 . - VII, 198 p. 67 illus., 1 illus. in color : online resource. - (Research Series on the Chinese Dream and China's Development Path, ISSN 2363-6866) .

Título : Balanced and Cyclical Growth in Models of Decentralized Economy Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Alexander P. Abramov ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Cham : Springer International Publishing Fecha de publicación: 2014 Otro editor: Imprint: Springer Colección: Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems, ISSN 0075-8442 num. 672 Número de páginas: XII, 194 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-319-07917-2 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Game theory Economic Macroeconomics growth Economics Theory/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Methods Growth Theory, Economics, Social and Behav. Sciences Macroeconomics/Monetary Economics//Financial Clasificación: 658 Empresas. Organización de empresas Resumen: This book is devoted to the study of dynamical models of decentralized economic systems. The models considered are based on the Leontief simple dynamic model with various mechanisms for decentralized planning and management. Branches of the economic system are treated as fully independent economic agents that plan their work according to their own purposes. It is shown that the lack of coordination between economic agents leads to a limit cycle for some economic indicators. Conversely, the exchange of information between the economic agents enables a move toward balanced growth. These results are generalized for the model with dynamics of the productive assets and for the model with the final consumption. The analysis also considers a problem of endogenous technological progress in a decentralized economy. The appendix includes a short review of non-negative matrices. The book offers a valuable resource for mathematical economists and graduate students specializing in mathematical economics Nota de contenido: Introduction.- Balanced Growth in Decentralized Economies -- Transition to Balanced Growth -- The Finance of the Transition Phase -- Production Capacities in Decentralized Economies -- Models of Technological Progress in Decentralized Economies -- Cyclical Growth in Decentralized Economies.- Final Consumption -- Appendix: Nonnegative Matrices -- Index En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-07917-2 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=36090 Balanced and Cyclical Growth in Models of Decentralized Economy [documento electrónico] / Alexander P.
