Clasificación: 658.89 Compradores como objeto de la promoción de ventas. Clientes potenciales. Comportamiento del consumidor Resumen: The aim of this paper is to analyse and evaluate whether Mc Donald's has evolved to promote healthier eating habits in children. It will focus on how Mc Donald's has little by little reshaped its message in order to adapt its product, moving from the concept of ‘just’ fast food towards offering healthier versions while keeping the “fast” element. In addition, it will explain how and why its marketing strategies have changed over the years. The methodology used is a literature review with focus on Mc Donald´s case. The consumer behavior theories that will be used to explain children´s vulnerability towards advertising are the Theory of Cognitive Development and the Social Learning Theory. Conclusions to this paper show that as a result of rising childhood obesity, there is a need for a rise in the minimum nutritional standards of Mc Donald's food offerings. Moreover, given that Mc Donald's is leader in the fast-food sector and has such big power over children's consumption choices, there is need for stricter regulations regarding marketing to children through new and digital means. Dirección. Autoridad.Técnicas y métodos de gestión Resumen: The Journal of Management Studies was established in 1963 to publish original, innovative, and high-quality papers that advance conceptual and empirical knowledge, and address practice in the area of management and organization. By ‘advance conceptual and empirical knowledge’ we mean that papers should aim to develop strong theoretical and/or empirical insights that increase our understanding of behaviour both in organizations and of organizations in their environments. The journal attaches no priority to either the subjects of study, or the methodological approach adopted, so long as these are theoretically grounded. Our ultimate criterion for a paper’s acceptability is that it significantly contributes to the development of coherent bodies of knowledge, so that an informed reader is likely to learn something new from it. By ‘address practice’ we mean that papers should enable practitioners, or those who teach practitioners, to gain insight into management and organization. We emphasize that the lessons for practice need to be grounded in rigorous theoretical and empirical research. MarketingPalabras clave: Sustainability, Fast-fashion, Slow-fashion, Sustainable Development, Green-washing and marketing. Clasificación: 658.8 Organización de mercados. Marketing. Ventas. Distribución Resumen: One of the most pressing issues facing society today is pollution in the fashion sector. A study of fashion from its inception to the present day, in which many businesses are striving for more sustainable production, is conducted in the following paper. Greenwashing methods have been carried out by some corporations as a result of this shift in fashion, leading to customer distrust in what they buy. This paper will try to distinguish between a fast fashion company's sustainable marketing plan and a slow fashion company's sustainable marketing approach, and see if fast-fashion companies actually exploit this marketing tactic as a sales driver or as a social driver. The goal is to address the question of whether these corporations are truly aware of the current crisis and willing to change the industry's direction through an exhaustive analysis of the literature and a comparison of cases.
