Organización de empresas Resumen: The International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) decision to require aviation organizations to adopt Safety Management Systems poses a major problem especially for small and medium sized aviation companies. The complexity of regulations overstrains the aviation stakeholders who seek to fully advantage from them but have no clear guidance. The aim of the book is to show the implementation of such a new system with pragmatic effort in order to gain a gradation for smaller operators. This approach should illustrate the leeway in order to adapt the processes and to show the interfaces between Corporate Risk Management and Safety Management. The book shows how to build a system with reasonable effort, appropriate to the size and complexity of the specific operator. It also gives inputs on the key aspects and how to effectively operate such a system with the various interfaces. Furthermore, the book highlights the importance of Corporate Risk Management independent of Safety Management Systems based on ICAO Nota de contenido: Introduction -- Theoretical Background of Risk and Safety Management -- Practical Implications of Risk and Safety Management -- Implementation and Optimization of Risk and Safety Management En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-02780-7 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=36003 Aviation Risk and Safety Management : Methods and Applications in Aviation Organizations [documento electrónico] / SpringerLink (Online service) ; Müller, Roland ; Wittmer, Andreas ; Drax, Christopher . - Cham : Springer International Publishing : Imprint: Springer, 2014 . - XIII, 213 p. 65 illus : online resource. - (Management for Professionals, ISSN 2192-8096) .

Título : Fuchsian Reduction : Applications to Geometry, Cosmology, and Mathematical Physics Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Kichenassamy, Satyanad ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Boston, MA : Birkhäuser Boston Fecha de publicación: 2007 Colección: Progress in Nonlinear Differential Equations and Their Applications num. 71 Número de páginas: XV, 289 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-0-8176-4637-0 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Mathematics Partial differential equations Applied mathematics Engineering Geometry Differential geometry Physics Space sciences Equations Applications of Mathematical Methods in Extraterrestrial Physics, Sciences Clasificación: 51 Matemáticas Resumen: Fuchsian reduction is a method for representing solutions of nonlinear PDEs near singularities. The technique has multiple applications including soliton theory, Einstein's equations and cosmology, stellar models, laser collapse, conformal geometry and combustion. Developed in the 1990s for semilinear wave equations, Fuchsian reduction research has grown in response to those problems in pure and applied mathematics where numerical computations fail. This work unfolds systematically in four parts, interweaving theory and applications. The case studies examined in Part III illustrate the impact of reduction techniques, and may serve as prototypes for future new applications. In the same spirit, most chapters include a problem section. Background results and solutions to selected problems close the volume. This book can be used as a text in graduate courses in pure or applied analysis, or as a resource for researchers working with singularities in geometry and mathematical physics Nota de contenido: Fuchsian Reduction -- Formal Series -- General Reduction Methods -- Theory of Fuchsian Partial Di?erential Equations -- Convergent Series Solutions of Fuchsian Initial-Value Problems -- Fuchsian Initial-Value Problems in Sobolev Spaces -- Solution of Fuchsian Elliptic Boundary-Value Problems -- Applications -- Applications in Astronomy -- Applications in General Relativity -- Applications in Differential Geometry -- Applications to Nonlinear Waves -- Boundary Blowup for Nonlinear Elliptic Equations -- Background Results -- Distance Function and Hölder Spaces -- Nash–Moser Inverse Function Theorem En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-0-8176-4637-0 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34567 Fuchsian Reduction : Applications to Geometry, Cosmology, and Mathematical Physics [documento electrónico] / Kichenassamy, Satyanad ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - Boston, MA : Birkhäuser Boston, 2007 . - XV, 289 p : online resource. - (Progress in Nonlinear Differential Equations and Their Applications; 71) .

Título : Water Resource Economics : Towards a Sustainable Use of Water for Irrigation in India Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Chandrakanth, M.G ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: New Delhi : Springer India Fecha de publicación: 2015 Otro editor: Imprint: Springer Número de páginas: XLI, 212 p. 51 illus., 44 illus. in color Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-81-322-2479-2 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Hydrogeology Mathematical optimization Law of the sea International law Marine sciences Freshwater Environmental economics Social structure inequality Economics & Sciences Structure, Inequality Optimization Sea, Air and Outer Space Clasificación: 658 Empresas. Organización de empresas Resumen: This book uses resource economics costing approaches incorporating externalities to estimate the returns for the country’s irrigation, and demonstrates how underestimating the cost of water leads farmers to overestimate profits. The importance of the subject can be judged in light of the fact that India is the largest user of groundwater both for irrigation and for drinking purposes, pumping twice as much as the United States and six times as much as Europe. Despite water’s vital role in ensuring economic security for the nation and farmers alike by supporting more than 70% of food production, water resource economists are yet to impress upon farmers and policymakers the true value of water and the urgent need for its sustainable extraction, recharge and use. In an endeavor to promote more awareness, the book further delineates the roles of the demand side and supply side in the economics of irrigation, and explains how the cost of water varies with the efforts to recharge it, crop patterns, degrees of initial and premature well failure, and degrees of externalities. It also discusses the importance of micro-irrigation in the economics of saving water for irrigation, estimating the marginal productivity of water and how it improves with drip irrigation, the economics of water sharing and water markets, optimal control theory in sustainable extraction of water, payment of ecosystem services for water, and how India can effectively recover. In closing, the book highlights the role of socioeconomic and hydrogeological factors in the economics of irrigation, which vary considerably across hard rock areas, and the resulting limitations on generalizing Nota de contenido: 1. Water for Irrigation: An overview -- 2. Externality in Irrigation -- 3. Unidirectional and Reciprocal externality in irrigation -- 4. Sand Mining Externality -- 5. Relationship between rainfall and recharge -- 6. Marginal productivity of Water -- 7. Costing water for irrigation -- 8. Locating interference and valuing water -- 9. Demand side economics of Micro irrigation -- 10. Supply side economic contribution watershed program to groundwater recharge -- 11. Water markets -- 12. Sustainable path of extraction of Ground water in tank and canal command areas -- 13. Water Policy -- 14. Payment for ecosystem services (PES) for water -- 15. Economics of artificial recharge of borewell in hard rock areas En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-81-322-2479-2 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35862 Water Resource Economics : Towards a Sustainable Use of Water for Irrigation in India [documento electrónico] / Chandrakanth, M.G ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - New Delhi : Springer India : Imprint: Springer, 2015 . - XLI, 212 p. 51 illus., 44 illus. in color : online resource.
