Título : Advanced Planning and Scheduling in Manufacturing and Supply Chains Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Yuri Mauergauz ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Cham : Springer International Publishing Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Springer Número de páginas: XXIII, 570 p. 186 illus., 25 illus. in color Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-319-27523-9 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Business Production management Operations research Decision making Mathematical models Engineering economics economy and Management Modeling Industrial Mathematics Economics, Organization, Logistics, Marketing Operation Research/Decision Theory Clasificación: 658.5 Gestión de la producción Resumen: This book is a guide to modern production planning methods based on new scientific achievements and various practical planning rules of thumb. Several numerical examples illustrate most of the calculation methods, while the text includes a set of programs for calculating production schedules and an example of a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Despite the relatively large number of books dedicated to this topic, Advanced Planning and Scheduling is the first book of its kind to feature such a wide range of information in a single work, a fact that inspired the author to write this book and publish an English translation. This work consists of two parts, with the first part addressing the design of reference and mathematical models, bottleneck models and multi-criteria models and presenting various sample models. It describes demand-forecasting methods and also includes considerations for aggregating forecasts. Lastly, it provides reference information on methods for data stocking and sorting. The second part of the book analyzes various stock planning models and the rules of safety stock calculation, while also considering the stock traffic dynamics in supply chains. Various batch computation methods are described in detail, while production planning is considered on several levels, including supply planning for customers, master planning, and production scheduling. This book can be used as a reference and manual for current planning methods. It is aimed at production planning department managers, company information system specialists, as well as scientists and PhD students conducting research in production planning. It will also be a valuable resource for students at universities of applied sciences Nota de contenido: Part 1. Modelling -- 1.Reference Models -- Chapter 2.Mathematical Models -- Chapter 3.Production Bottlenecks Models -- 4. Multi-Criteria Models and Decision Making -- 5.Planning Inputs -- 6.Demand Forecasting -- 7.Examples of Advanced Planning Models -- Part II. Título : Beyond Lean : A Revised Framework of Leadership and Continuous Improvement Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Peter Béndek ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Cham : Springer International Publishing Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Springer Número de páginas: XXII, 126 p. 7 illus., 6 illus. in color Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-319-27745-5 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Business Leadership Organization Planning Personnel management Ethics Industrial psychology and Management Industrial, Organisational Economic Psychology Strategy/Leadership Human Resource Clasificación: 658.5 Gestión de la producción Resumen: This book by Peter Béndek presents a strong case against the current practice of business operations improvement, based on numerous studies from the business world as well as insights from the most prestigious authors of the last fifty years. The author contests the applicability and indeed the relevance of the Toyota Production System and its spin-offs to the Western context, claiming that a revised approach is much better suited to taking our specific cultural conditions into account, while also combining increased transparency, speed, and sustainability of change with a robust value-creating capability. Dr. Béndek argues that this approach can have a far-reaching impact on corporate cultures by offering an all-encompassing learning system, one that provides a more coherent and actionable continuous improvement strategy than conventional approaches. The book offers an important guide to rethinking operations management, both in academia and business practice Nota de contenido: Part One -- 1. What is wrong with the current continuous improvement (CI) practice? -- 2. What is continuous improvement, and what is not -- 3. Strategies of TPS/Lean implementation -- 4. The Toyota Way -- Part Two -- 5. Building a new framework -- 6. A new framework -- 7. Conclusion and practical benefits En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-319-27745-5 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=41581 Beyond Lean : A Revised Framework of Leadership and Continuous Improvement [documento electrónico] / Peter Béndek ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - Cham : Springer International Publishing : Imprint: Springer, 2016 . - XXII, 126 p. 7 illus., 6 illus. in color : online resource.
