Drawing on F.A. Hayek's concepts of cognition and cultural evolution, Teraji demonstrates how the relationship between the sensory and social orders can allow economists to track social norms and their effects on the global economy. He redirects attention from the conventional focus on what an individual chooses to the changing social order that determines how an individual chooses. Cultural shifts provide the environmental feedback that challenges the mental models governing individual choice, creating a cycle of coevolution. Teraji develops a general framework from which to examine this symbiotic relationship in order to identify predictive patterns. Not just for behavioral economists, this book will also appeal to those who specialize in institutional economics, the philosophy of economics, and economic sociology Nota de contenido: 1 Foundations -- 2 Why Do People Obey Norms? -- 3 The Sensory Order Revisited -- 4 Norms, Coordination, and Order -- 5 Culture and Cultural Evolution -- 6 Co-evolution of Mind and Society -- 7 Epilogue En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1057/978-1-137-50247-6 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=41986 Evolving Norms : Cognitive Perspectives in Economics [documento electrónico] / Teraji, Shinji ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - New York : Palgrave Macmillan US : Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan, 2016 . - XV, 355 p. 7 illus : online resource. - (Palgrave Advances in Behavioral Economics) .

Título : Integrating Human Capital with Human Development : The Path to a More Productive and Humane Economy Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Tomer, John F ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: New York : Palgrave Macmillan US Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan Colección: Palgrave Advances in Behavioral Economics Número de páginas: XII, 231 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-1-137-45674-8 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Economic theory Behavioral economics Macroeconomics Development Economics Behavioral/Experimental Theory/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Methods Macroeconomics/Monetary Economics//Financial Clasificación: 330 Economía en general Resumen: For the most part, human capital theory emphasizes human cognitive development and the acquisition of knowledge and skills that enable enhanced productivity and earnings. In light of recent research findings, particularly concerning neurodevelopment and early childhood development, it is becoming apparent that this standard version of human capital theory has a far too limited conception of human capabilities and how they are created. Integrating Human Capital with Human Development considers recently accumulated knowledge related to the human brain's functioning and development to better understand the relationship between human capital and human development in successful economies. It shifts the focus of human capital theory to give full consideration to intangible, non-cognitive aspects of learning. This exciting new volume is an important addition to the study of human capital and behavioral economics more broadly En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1057/9781137456748 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=41957 Integrating Human Capital with Human Development : The Path to a More Productive and Humane Economy [documento electrónico] / Tomer, John F ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - New York : Palgrave Macmillan US : Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan, 2016 . - XII, 231 p : online resource. - (Palgrave Advances in Behavioral Economics) .
