Título : Crowdfunding for SMEs : A European Perspective Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Roberto Bottiglia ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Flavio Pichler Editorial: London : Palgrave Macmillan UK Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan Colección: Palgrave Macmillan Studies in Banking and Financial Institutions Número de páginas: XV, 236 p. 36 illus Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-1-137-56021-6 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Finance Business enterprises Finance, Public Capital market investments Financial engineering European Union Investment Appraisal Markets Engineering Politics Clasificación: 330 Economía en general Resumen: Crowdfunding for SMEs: A European Perspective provides a valuable insight into this new source of capital. In particular, the authors focus on financial return crowdfunding, which repays the crowd either through debt or equity. This source of capital might play a significant role in the future becoming an alternative or a complement to traditional funding sources. It is therefore of the uttermost importance to understand what has boosted its exponential growth in recent years, as well as the key drivers of success of P2P lending and equity crowdfunding campaigns on both the funders and the fundraisers side. Due to the financial nature of the return provided to the crowd, financial return crowdfunding has been the object of recent waves of regulation, although the European Union still lacks a set of common rules. The aim of regulation should be twofold, to protect investors and, at the same time, to favor the financing for SMEs. In this book, the authors explore such issues and the regulatory policies, while looking to the future of financial return crowdfunding as an evolving source of capital. Título : Financial Crisis and Bank Management in Japan (1997 to 2016) : Building a Stable Banking System Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Mitsuhiko Nakano ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: London : Palgrave Macmillan UK Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan Colección: Palgrave Macmillan Studies in Banking and Financial Institutions Número de páginas: XXII, 184 p. 28 illus., 3 illus. in color Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-1-137-54118-5 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Finance Banks and banking Capital market Finance--History Asia Economic conditions Banking Markets Financial History Asian Economics Clasificación: 330 Economía en general Resumen: This book explores the challenges faced by the Japanese economy and the Japanese banking industry following the financial crisis that emerged around the turn of the last millennium. The author explores how the Japanese financial crisis of the late 1990s engendered huge restructuring efforts in the banking industry, which eventually led to even more sweeping changes of the economic system and long-term deflation in the 2000s. The discussion begins with an overview of the unconventional monetary policy launched by the Bank of Japan at this time, while banking administrative policies maintained their strict code of governance. The author describes how, just as recovery seemed possible, the twin disasters of the Lehman shock and the Great East Japan Earthquake buffeted the recovering economy, and pushed Japan again into deflation. The book also looks to the very recent past, with the sudden advent of Abenomics in 2013, with its three-pronged approach, which was intended to break the deflationary mindset. Finally, the author projects what the future of the banking industry in Japan might encompass, as looming demographic changes gradually threaten both the economy and the banking industry Nota de contenido: Chapter 1) Financial Crisis and Banking Crisis in Japan / 1997-2003 -- Chapter 2) Change in banking supervision policy and their effects on bank behaviour / 2002-2005 -- Chapter 3) The Lehman Shock and its Influence on Banking Supervision Policy /2008-2013 -- Chapter 4) The Launch of Abenomics and its effects on the banking business -- Chapter 5) The future of banking management in Japan -- Chapter 6) Conclusion En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1057/978-1-137-54118-5 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=42022 Financial Crisis and Bank Management in Japan (1997 to 2016) : Building a Stable Banking System [documento electrónico] / Mitsuhiko Nakano ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - London : Palgrave Macmillan UK : Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan, 2016 . - XXII, 184 p. 28 illus., 3 illus. in color : online resource. - (Palgrave Macmillan Studies in Banking and Financial Institutions) .

Título : Investigating the Performance of Chinese Banks: Efficiency and Risk Features Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Yong Tan ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: London : Palgrave Macmillan UK Fecha de publicación: 2016 Otro editor: Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan Colección: Palgrave Macmillan Studies in Banking and Financial Institutions Número de páginas: XIV, 200 p. 43 illus Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-1-137-49376-7 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Finance Corporations Banks and banking Corporate Banking Clasificación: 330 Economía en general Resumen: This book applies econometric techniques to test the relationship between efficiency and risk within the banking industry in China. Chapters examine how efficiency has been affected by different types of risk-taking behaviour and how risk has been an important determinant of bank efficiency in the context of the series of reforms impacting banks in China since 1978. The author begins by unpacking these reforms and proceeds to explain relevant theories of efficiency and bank risk before reviewing empirical literature in evaluating risk and efficiency in the banking industry. He then investigates the issues of efficiency and risk in the Chinese banking industry using a number of modern econometric techniques. The final chapters present the results of original empirical research conducted by the author, and provide valuable implications to Chinese government as well as banking regulatory authorities to make relevant policies.
