Título : Algebraic Multiplicity of Eigenvalues of Linear Operators Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: López-Gómez, J ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Mora-Corral, C Editorial: Basel : Birkhäuser Basel Fecha de publicación: 2007 Colección: Operator Theory: Advances and Applications num. 177 Número de páginas: XXII, 310 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-7643-8401-2 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Mathematics Matrix theory Algebra Functional analysis Operator Physics Analysis Linear and Multilinear Algebras, Theory Mathematical Methods in Clasificación: 51 Matemáticas Resumen: This book brings together all the most important known results of research into the theory of algebraic multiplicities, from well-known classics like the Jordan Theorem to recent developments such as the uniqueness theorem and the construction of multiplicity for non-analytic families, which is presented in this monograph for the first time. Part I (the first three chapters) is a classic course on finite-dimensional spectral theory; Part II (the next eight chapters) contains the most general results available about the existence and uniqueness of algebraic multiplicities for real non-analytic operator matrices and families; and Part III (the last chapter) transfers these results from linear to nonlinear analysis. The text is as self-contained as possible. All the results are established in a finite-dimensional setting, if necessary. Furthermore, the structure and style of the book make it easy to access some of the most important and recent developments. Thus the material appeals to a broad audience, ranging from advanced undergraduates (in particular Part I) to graduates, postgraduates and reseachers who will enjoy the latest developments in the real non-analytic case (Part II) Nota de contenido: Finite-dimensional Classic Spectral Theory -- The Jordan Theorem -- Operator Calculus -- Spectral Projections -- Algebraic Multiplicities -- Algebraic Multiplicity Through Transversalization -- Algebraic Multiplicity Through Polynomial Factorization -- Uniqueness of the Algebraic Multiplicity -- Algebraic Multiplicity Through Jordan Chains. Smith Form -- Analytic and Classical Families. Stability -- Algebraic Multiplicity Through Logarithmic Residues -- The Spectral Theorem for Matrix Polynomials -- Further Developments of the Algebraic Multiplicity -- Nonlinear Spectral Theory -- Nonlinear Eigenvalues En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-7643-8401-2 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34714 Algebraic Multiplicity of Eigenvalues of Linear Operators [documento electrónico] / López-Gómez, J ; SpringerLink (Online service) ; Mora-Corral, C . - Basel : Birkhäuser Basel, 2007 . - XXII, 310 p : online resource. - (Operator Theory: Advances and Applications; 177) .

Título : Commutative Algebras of Toeplitz Operators on the Bergman Space Tipo de documento: documento electrónico Autores: Vasilevski, Nikolai L ; SpringerLink (Online service) Editorial: Basel : Birkhäuser Basel Fecha de publicación: 2008 Colección: Operator Theory: Advances and Applications num. 185 Número de páginas: XXIX, 418 p Il.: online resource ISBN/ISSN/DL: 978-3-7643-8726-6 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Mathematics Functional analysis Functions of complex variables Operator theory Theory a Complex Variable Analysis Clasificación: 51 Matemáticas Resumen: This book is devoted to the spectral theory of commutative C*-algebras of Toeplitz operators on the Bergman space and its applications. For each such commutative algebra there is a unitary operator which reduces Toeplitz operators from this algebra to certain multiplication operators, thus providing their spectral type representations. This yields a powerful research tool giving direct access to the majority of the important properties of the Toeplitz operators studied herein, such as boundedness, compactness, spectral properties, invariant subspaces. The presence and exploitation of these spectral type representations forms the core for many results presented in the book. Among other results it contains a criterion of when the algebras are commutative on each commonly considered weighted Bergman space together with their explicit descriptions; a systematic study of Toeplitz operators with unbounded symbols; a clarification of the difference between compactness of commutators and semi-commutators of Toeplitz operators; the theory of Toeplitz and related operators with symbols having more than two limit values at boundary points; and a kind of semi-classical analysis of spectral properties of Toeplitz operators. The book is addressed to a wide audience of mathematicians, from graduate students to researchers, whose primary interests lie in complex analysis and operator theory. Nota de contenido: Preliminaries -- Prologue -- Bergman and Poly-Bergman Spaces -- Bergman Type Spaces on the Unit Disk -- Toeplitz Operators with Commutative Symbol Algebras -- Toeplitz Operators on the Unit Disk with Radial Symbols -- Toeplitz Operators on the Upper Half-Plane with Homogeneous Symbols -- Anatomy of the Algebra Generated by Toeplitz Operators with Piece-wise continuous Symbols -- Commuting Toeplitz Operators and Hyperbolic Geometry -- Weighted Bergman Spaces -- Commutative Algebras of Toeplitz Operators -- Dynamics of Properties of Toeplitz Operators with Radial Symbols -- Dynamics of Properties of Toeplitz Operators on the Upper Half-Plane: Parabolic Case -- Dynamics of Properties of Toeplitz Operators on the Upper Half-Plane: Hyperbolic Case En línea: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-7643-8726-6 Link: https://biblioteca.cunef.edu/gestion/catalogo/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34411 Commutative Algebras of Toeplitz Operators on the Bergman Space [documento electrónico] / Vasilevski, Nikolai L ; SpringerLink (Online service) . - Basel : Birkhäuser Basel, 2008 . - XXIX, 418 p : online resource. - (Operator Theory: Advances and Applications; 185) .
