In this Master's Final Project (TFM) we have tried to provide an overview of the cryptocurrencies world. The main topics we have covered are the functioning of Blockchain - the underlying technology of cryptocurrencies, the different features and categorization of the main existing cryptocurrencies and the main risks associated to them (regulation, fiscal implications and cybersecurity). In addition, we have included a chapter analyzing future prospects for cryptocurrencies and, from a practical perspective, we have tried to value Ether (ETH), which is the cryptocurrency used within the Ethereum platform, using the equation of exchange. |
