GTBib-Sod is a document procurement and interlibrary loan management tool. It covers all aspects of request processing, including administration (billing, deposits, clearing accounts) and statistics. It uses e-mail and Web tools for basic communication between the service, users and suppliers.
The application uses Web and Z39.50 technologies, enabling users to find information on resource availability in collective catalogues such as REBIUN, e-resource providers such as Ingenta, full-text databases such as IBECS or the EBSCO databases. It is also compatible with the main Spanish and international document procurement services (British Library-Artemail, NLM).
In Spain, it is used by most university libraries, speeding up the process of requesting and obtaining resources not available in our university.
